What is your background and education? 

Michael C. Flowers, CPA, boasts a distinguished career spanning over forty years in the field of public accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Accounting from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. Graduating Magna Cum Laude, he achieved a commendable position within the top 10th percentile of his class.  

Michael has worked for two of the Big Four CPA firms and is the founder of a CPA firm that was acquired after 39 years. 

What are your areas of expertise in the tax and accounting field? 

Michael’s expertise in the tax and accounting domain is both extensive and diverse. His professional journey has encompassed a wide range of clients, from emerging small businesses to larger, established entities. He possesses adeptness in management consulting, intricate income tax and estate tax planning, as well as retirement and financial planning matters. He’s also well-versed in matters related to incorporation, pension issues, and providing comprehensive assistance to startups and emerging businesses.

Notably, Michael received the Small Business Leader of the Year Award, a testament to his exceptional contributions and accomplishments. His track record of excellence is further demonstrated by his CPA certification, earned through rigorous qualifications and comprehensive knowledge of the field. Additionally, Michael is involved in the community in various aspects including:

What service are you passionate about in the tax and accounting field? 

Among the various services within the tax and accounting field, Michael holds a particular passion for providing consulting services to small businesses. He finds great fulfillment in assisting emerging enterprises and startups in navigating the complexities of financial management, incorporation, and business planning. This dedication is exemplified by his extensive involvement in organizations like the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, where he served as the former Chair of the Chamber’s Emerging Business Consulting Program.
